End of extended support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance. Without Microsoft support, you will no longer receive security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal your personal information.

Microsoft Office 2010 left the end Extended Support on October 13th, 2020, and no longer receives security fixes. Mainstream Support, which also included bug fixes, ended October 13th of 2015. These dates are for Office installations that included Service Pack 2. Un-updated versions ended Extended Support on July 10, 2012, and Service Pack 1 support ended October 14, 2014.
